Above is an annotated map of North America showing our route. The red line is our main route, while the purple one is distance traveled by me alone. The yellow dots are the areas we spent a night.
Hugo Gunnarsen, who has some experience traveling the American continent himself, kindly lent me his Fuji Finepix Digital camera so I could take nice photographs for this journal. The pictures, all originally in 1280x960 resolution, has been downscaled for web use. The text is just unabridged observations from yours truly.

The trip, although shortened slightly compared to the original plans, was a total of nearly 5000 miles (8000 kilometers) and covered 13 (17) US states (California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Virginia, (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachussetts)). (the additional 4 states were covered by yours truly in buses).
